Happy Autumn Equinox!
I love this time of year. The temp starts to cool down and leaves change from vibrant green into beautiful colors of orange, red, and gold. I enjoy the foggy mornings this time of year brings on Lummi Island. Watching the fog roll through the salty sea air just above the water, and the sound of the tugboat foghorns in the distance. It is also a time of harvest; to reap what has been sewn. This is an important metaphor from which Nature has much to teach us. Nature is our connection to, and understanding of, this life embodied here on Earth. But we are busy, ego-driven, and seemingly singularly existing bodies, and many of us don’t stop often enough to ponder much outside of ourselves. We don’t merely co-exist with Nature, we are connected to it on a deep level. This is why we feel so peaceful when we can observe and be in Nature, as we are connected to all things. Our role as observers is limited, however; only seeing a small part of the larger picture.
Do you ever wonder why we are so divided and filled with disdain for those that do not walk the same path that we do? Do you ever wish you could just let go of your anger and stop letting what others do affect your journey so often? I have felt victimized, violated, treated unjustly, thought I had been given a bad hand in life, and it wasn’t fair. This made feel me angry and bitter. I became untrusting and quick to judge others; sinking deeper into my little world. I became quite good at wearing a mask (not the ones we have to wear now, but I am quite good about wearing those as well!) to protect myself from anyone getting too close. I felt like what was taken from me had been lost, and I disconnected. This is no way for anyone to live. It took me a lot of deep introspection to truly understand why suffering was such a key part of our human condition. There is a bigger picture though, one that we aren’t meant to know or see. This is so we can experience life’s hardships authentically.
There are ways in which Nature offers us a little help in the right direction, and flower and tree essences are one of them! The most profound moments of self-realization during the past 4 years have been through listening to my inner dialog and letting go of self-doubt, and hesitation. I honed in on my intuitive gifts and got back in tune with Nature. These are some of the essences that have helped me get reconnected or have been an ally for me when dealing with past traumas, anger, or other low-frequency feelings that have hindered my spiritual journey. Some, like Dandelion Flower Essence, have helped me almost immediately, while others like Echinacea Flower Essence, needed me to be patient, and stick with them for 4 weeks before I could see the shift within myself. We are all unique and Nature knows this. 🙂 I hope this helps some of you on your path too!
