Meadow Rue, also known as Greater Meadow Rue and Columbine Meadow Rue, is a lovely ornamental plant of the buttercup family. It is a tall perennial bearing early summer flowers with showy, pendent tassels of long purple stamens, greenish sepals, and no petals. The stems are green at the base and purple at the top with dark green columbine-like leaves. The European herb called rue is an unrelated plant.
