The human heart is an amazing organ. In an adult the heart is about the size of a fist, weighs about 8 to 12 ounces and beats about 60 – 100 times per minute. It pumps about 1.5 gallons (about 5 liters) of blood through the blood vessels of the circulatory system providing the body with oxygen and nutrients and removing carbon dioxide and metabolic wastes.
Our hearts are also intelligent decision makers and play a larger role in our emotional, mental and physical processes than previously understood, according to 20 years of scientifically controlled research at the Heart Math Institute. The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body, much more than the brain. When people touch or are in proximity, the electromagnetic energy produced by their hearts is transferred to each other. Where am I going with this? It is certainly my experience that when I’m around people who are feeling open hearted and caring, I experience their energy as loving. Perhaps this is the emotional and spiritual intent of the human heart? Let your heart decide.
The Pink Hollyhock Flower Essence was made last summer during a class I taught. Our hearts were definitely connected as we experienced this beautiful essence individually and together.
