Letting Go Into Your Self
Last weekend I planted 3 more goldenseal roots that we received from United Plant Savers. I placed them by the other 3 that we planted last year. First I had to prep the area by weeding, including digging out some grandmother dandelions. This was a deep letting go, a great sacrifice for the dandelions and I knew I would need to make ceremony to bring balance back to the area so the small patch of 6 goldenseal plants would thrive. As I went through this process, I realized this deep letting go is happening in my life and our business. We think we have a vision, time to let go. We think we are moving forward with plans, time to let go. At moments, I just want to cry, there is so much grief around this. Yet I keep doing the day to day. That is all there is, this moment. What is in front of me this moment is what I do. Surprisingly, when I focus on letting grief and anger arise (yes, anger, too, is a part of grief) and move through, focus on my breath, ground in to my feet, and do what needs to be done in this moment, a flicker of joy sparkles to the surface. If I look inward at the joy, I see it comes from a Presence deep within my Self. A Presence that I usually don’t experience since I keep so busy. A gift of grief is letting go into my Self. Fall is the season of grief, a normal part of loss and letting go. Metal Element (Air): Fall
Metal is forged from rocks and stones, the minerals of the Earth. As rocks/metals form the structure and strength of mountains, riverbanks, and skyscrapers so does the metal element rule structure and strength on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels for humans. Large Intestine Organ Energy Meridian Essence Blend
