Spring into Action!
It’s Spring!! Flower and trees are budding and ready to burst into bloom. Have you noticed ideas budding in your mind, too? The next step is developing plans for action. If you are like me, ideas are easy. Developing doable plans is more challenging. I often want to skip from ideas to action without thinking through the steps it will take to actually allow the ideas to bloom.
The Wood Element relates to Spring and to the Liver and Gallbladder organs. Red Huckleberry and Dandelion Flower Essences are key essences in both blends, and are in bloom now at Tree Frog Farm. They support the planning and action functions of the Liver and Gallbladder Systems. All of these are on sale during April.
I love trees so much that sometimes I have to hug one!
Red Huckleberry Flower Essence
Red Huckleberry is a US Pacific Northwest native shrub with tiny greenish-yellow bell shaped flowers that form red “blueberries.” They often grow in the rich soil of decaying wood or woody stumps. Red Huckleberries were a main food staple of many indigenous peoples, and were used as fish bait. Herbally, the leaves and bark were simmered to prepare a gargle for sore throats and inflamed gums.
On the flower essence level, red huckleberry essence awakens within you the understanding that everyday plans and tasks have a multidimensional aspect. It brings you into alignment with the Guidance to access this multidimensional information. Red Huckleberry Essence reorganizes energetic brain functions related to easy comprehension of tasks and action, assists you to think through tasks, make plans and take action, and have patience with the process. It supports the mental and emotional functions related to the liver and gallbladder systems.
As Red Huckleberry Flower Essence says of itself:
I AM ease with creating order, making plans and taking action.

Dandelion Flower Essence
Dandelion grows just about everywhere in the world. Even though many people regard dandelion as a weed, it is one of the most valuable medicinal herbs. Dandelion root is a very effective detoxifying herb. It works primarily in the liver and gallbladder to remove wastes from infection or pollution, that can become toxic if they build-up, and stimulates the kidneys to eliminate the waste. In spring, the flower can be made into dandelion wine and the greens can be eaten fresh in a salad or cooked. They are rich in vitamins A, B2, C, E, and minerals of boron, calcium, iron (leaf & root), magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and potassium. Dandelion’s combination of being a liver tonic and rich in phytohormones makes it a wonderful herbal tonic for menopausal symptoms like hot flashes.
On the flower essence level, Dandelion attunes you to the essence of the sun to upgrade the quality of how you live. It increases the frequency of the many functions performed by the liver and gallbladder, and promotes deep cleansing of toxic imprints on the physical, emotional and mental levels. These could include feelings of frustration and anger caused by blockages in the creative process. As Dandelion Flower Essence does this energetic work, it assists the body to function at the 5th dimensional level, supporting the energetic liver and gallbladder systems.
As Dandelion flower essence says of itself:
I AM essence of the sun aligning the liver and gallbladder systems
with clear and healthy functioning.

Wood Element: Spring
Wood is representative of all of the elements. Trees connect Heaven and Earth and are a metaphor for the human body-mind-spirit connection. (The trees here are amazing! Over 100 foot tall cedar, firs and alders!) They bring rain, take up water, collect the warmth of the sun then give us oxygen to breath and firewood to warm our homes. Its color is green since the wood element illustrates the pushing upward of new growth as plants awaken into the rebirth of spring. In humans, the wood element helps us sprout ideas, grow plans, and bloom into action. If that process is thwarted, anger may burst forth or fester inside. Just as plants in a creek filter toxins out of the water, the wood element in humans also filters toxins out of our digestive systems.
