Since 1984, I’ve been on a spiritual/life path that invites me to experience spirituality in daily life as well as in meditation and ceremony. For me, with a hummingbird-like temperament, I continue to practice slowing down to feel myself so I can be present with my movements, action, thinking and speaking. Recently a woman I’ve known for a long time emailed Saint Theresa’s prayer to a group of her women friends. Saint Theresa is known as the Saint of the Little Ways. Meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love.

Salal is a very common understory shrub in North American Pacific Northwest coniferous forests, and was an important food source for many First Peoples of the area.
