October Plants of the Month at Tree Frog Farm: Devil’s Club and Golden Celebration Rose
Shift in Consciousness
This Summer and Fall have seemed especially challenging for many people. We are in a major shift in consciousness. When this happens, we may feel drained by the intensity of what is happening personally, nationally and globally. Here are two essences that have been constant allies for me and my clients. My dog has also been taking devil’s club; he’s a sensitive guy who tends to take on whatever I’m dealing with.
Devil’s Club (Oplopanax horridus)
If you look at the devil’s club picture, you will notice the bright red berries and the BIG thorns on the stem. What you don’t see is that there are also BIG thorns on the top and bottom of the leaf veins. Thorns usually indicate powerful medicine and this is very true of devil’s club. On the herbal level, devil’s club works on diabetes, joints and blood sugar regulation.
On the flower essence level, devil’s club has said this about itself:
